Founded in 2003 in Maryland, Steeplechase Arts is a publishing, recording and production company integrating innovation and tradition in music and collaboration among the arts. Steeplechase has produced concerts, operas, and performances at Carnegie Hall, Symphony Space, Theatre Project, Georgetown University, the President's House of Stony Brook University, The Baryshnikov Arts Center, St. John's College, Guild Hall, and many other locations throughout the US and in Europe. Steeplechase has had press coverage from National Public Radio, The New York Times, The Baltimore Sun, Johns Hopkins Magazine, The East Hampton Star, and Baltimore City Paper. Over the next year, Steeplechase will be engaged in collaborative projects in the US, Europe, and Asia in music, film, dance, poetry, and opera.
Music education is a central focus for Steeplechase Arts. The company has collaborated with music professors and professional artists to create fun, informative and inspiring music instruction guides and scores. These interactive book and video courses are designed to promote creativity and musical understanding through a clear and engaging step-by-step teaching format. |
